Meet Our Founders
White-Herrin Metals was founded out of necessity by Eric White and John Herrin in 2015. Eric and John had noticed a big problem in the roofing industry: a high demand for quality sheet metal work but a lack of local sheet metal fabrication companies to meet this demand. Their mission was to fill this void in the industry by creating a reliable sheet metal fabrication company that specialized in custom roofing components. Thus, White-Herrin Metals was born.
Eric’s Career started in 1998 as a consultant in the manufacturing side of the commercial roofing industry. In 2003, Eric joined the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). He went on to complete the Construction Documents Technology program and received his CDT certification through CSI; Eric then moved to the contracting side of the roofing industry, landing a job as a project manager.
John started his career as a general laborer in the construction industry in 1995. Through hard work and dedication, he worked his way up through the ranks from helper, mechanic, foreman, to owner of his own construction company. Eric and John’s previous positions over the past 20 years have provided them with immeasurable experience and insight within the roofing industry.
Eric and John pride themselves on providing strong leadership and support to their team. Before Founding White-Herrin Metals Eric and John both shared a passion for people and helping them; this passion can be seen throughout their company. Together they strive to help their employees develop and grow both personally and professionally. They strongly believe in leading by example and running the company in a way that is honorable and honest.
John and Eric’s unique experiences, leadership skills, grit and dedication have all contributed to the company’s success. Today, White-Herrin Metals is rapidly growing and shows no sign of stopping. Eric and John plan to continue to expand and add even more state-of-the-art sheet metal fabrication equipment to their shop, in order to bring more unique solutions to the marketplace.
